Pastis is still hot!

Springlily, my friends from London and I went to Pastis for brunch on Sunday. We all got lost in the confusing meatpacking district but the distinctive bright red awning beckons. Pastis is brimming and steaming with cool people with the added bonus of close encounters with celebrities and celebrities wannabes. My sharp eyes were rewarded with my sighting of Julianne Moore mingling with her family.

We held a short discussion whether we should stalk her as she headed to the restrooms. But being cool New Yorkers, we decided to 'act' blase. Poor Springlily showed remarkable restraint as she arrived too late and only saw the back of her head.

For those who are wondering, French fries at the pastis is still heavenly and the mayo divine.
